Back to school countdown...

My sweet baby boy will be going to kindergarten in just 17 days...17days!

...and because in 5 year old land 17 days is like eternity,

I needed a visual way to count it down.

So, I decided on a simple paper chain.

• Dash selected 4 colors
• We cut them into strips
• I wrote numbers on each strip
• The very last strip says "Go to school today"
• We stapled the strips into a chain

I hung the chain on the front door

and each morning before we leave

we will take one link off.

Simple and...

...easy peasy.
